Healthy Lunch Ideas

We ask parents for their support in encouraging good nutritional habits.  Lunches should consist of nutritious foods such as: milk, juice, fruit, raw vegetables, cheese, crackers, yogurt, and muffins along with sandwiches. Chips, soft drinks, Kool-Aid, candies and chocolate are discouraged.  For the morning snack, we ask that only nutritious snacks be sent. Forks and spoons (no knives) should be supplied by the parents.  Since some students in our school have severe life-threatening allergies to nuts, we ask parents not to send food items containing nuts in their children’s lunches and snacks (eg. peanut butter sandwiches).

Please see peanut-free-lunches and Anaphylactic Shock page and our Hot lunches page
